Suzy trained at Trinity Laban and has since worked as Assistant Musical Director on the Blackheath Halls Community Opera productions of Cendrillon, Noye’s Fludde (on three separate occasions), The Little Sweep, Brundibar and, in 2017, the new commission Paws and Padlocks composed by Kate Whitley and performed in conjunction with The Multi-Story Orchestra. She has recently worked with the company, Over The Moon, on highly visual and sensory performances of operatic selections, folk songs and nursery rhymes for babies and toddlers.

 

Suzy has also worked as repetiteur for many workshops and productions including The Rape of Lucretia, Dialogues des Carmelites and The Rake's Progress (Trinity Laban), Eugene Onegin, Idomeneo, Elixir of Love, Susannah, Clemenza di Tito, Venus & Adonis, Dido & Aeneas, The Magic Flute, Hugh The Drover, Mansfield Park, Albert Herring, Don Giovanni, Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci (Hampstead Garden Opera), Le Nozze di Figaro and Cosi fan Tutte (Vignette Productions) and La Traviata (Opera Lyrica).

 

She also enjoys helping singers prepare for recordings, competitions and for roles in companies including Royal Opera, Opera Holland Park, Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Theater Magdeburg and Opera National de Paris. Directors she has worked with include Harry Fehr, James Hurley, John Ramster and Bruno Ravella. Musical directors include Jessica Cottis, Nicholas Jenkins, Graham Ross, Christopher Stark, Jonathan Tilbrook and Matthew Waldren.

 

Suzy is the accompanist for the Godalming Choral Society under Sam Hayes and the Greenwich University Choir under Jonathan Schranz and also works with the Royal Greenwich and Blackheath Halls Youth Choir and the Bach Choir.
